Q&A bubble SociallyKels
What entrepreneurial tricks have you discovered to keep you focused and productive in your day-to-day busy schedule?

My key to staying productive and on track as an entrepreneur is having 2 to do lists. I call them “Master to Do” and “Daily to Do”. As an entrepreneur there is always going to be tons of things on your plate, your Master to Do is going to be filled with every little thing you have to do. Each evening I will take a few of the high priority tasks from my master to do and put it in my daily to do for the next day. That way you can stay on top of what needs to be done and still feel accomplished and able to “clock off” even if there is always something you could be doing.

What key activities would you recommend entrepreneurs to invest their time in?

Learning and networking! Investing in masterminds, mentorship, coaching, education ect… is going to be the best investment you can make as an entrepreneur. Equal to that, networking and making connections is what can really blow your business up. Investing in conferences, retreats, events, and even networking online are ways you can invest time and money into your network.

Can you describe/outline your typical day?

Personally, my days can all look very different (which I love!) My days are filled with anything from content creation, client calls, brand meetings, events, travel, agency work and more. I try to stick to a morning and evening routine between this craziness to keep some structure. This includes things like journaling, exercising, meditation, walking my dog.

What was your key driving force to become an entrepreneur?

Freedom! I’ve always loved the idea of not having to ask permission. Whether that be to travel, go to lunch with a friend, sleep in… I love the freedom of creating my own career and life. Also, there is no ceiling on income!

How did you come up with the name for your company?

It took me a few days to settle on the name “SociallyKels” I knew I wanted my name to be somehow involved (Kelsie) and I wanted it to be related to social media without putting myself in a box too much. I thought SociallyKels had a good ring to it!
